Watercolor is not as daunting as most people think, if you start from the beginning and are willing to put in time painting. We are all our own worst enemies, thinking we will get to it later--and we don't. I am there --I know better--and I still have trouble making time to paint. Somewhere in life I looked at painting as a luxury, instead of a necessity, and I have to keep re-training myself to paint often.
I expect to learn from my students as everyone thinks differently and sees differently, so it is always a learning situation on both sides.
I have found a few new things to keep me painting when I am not in the mood. I call them "marvelous minis"--very small paintings finished in just a few minutes. You can paint several at a time and if you dont like them, they have taken just a small time, small amount of paper, and are good practice
